Wow, so I was traipsing through the IP logs on Ra, and whatever would I find but somebody trying to look at pictures of my ex-girlfriend...and me! First they looked at pretty much the entire site, and then they tried doing stupid things like "2003-02-13 04:41:19 204.39.230.205 - W3SVC1 GET /~ndunklee - Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+NT+5.1;+DigExt;+Q312461) - -" or "2003-02-13 04:41:24 204.39.230.205 - W3SVC1 GET /skuzz - Mozilla/4.0+(compatible;+MSIE+6.0;+Windows+NT+5.1;+DigExt;+Q312461) - -". (The log times are in Greenwich Mean Time, 24 hour at that, so, -5 the time! ) Come on, do you think I'd be stupid enough to hide a home directory in a web server? Furthermore, why would I bother hiding pictures on my site that aren't directly linkable like Amber did on her site? I would just as soon have ALL my images in my web dir available for viewing, otherwise, what's the point of them being there?

I don't often have my AK-47 with me, so on most days you don't need to worry about that either.* I really can't be mean to people, I think it's impossible or something.

Well wasn't that a fun game?

1. First off, note how dumb the internet is! 14 (well 15 if you count my router) hops to get from my server to their computer in Flint...and we wonder why the Internet gets slow!
2. Second off, Flint's Merit (Michnet) dialup (also used by U of M Flint, Mott, etc.) routes through Michigan State! Those Spartan-haters should be pissed that their data meanders through MSU!!
3. Finally, yes, it was in fact a Flint IP, through Michnet dialup, oh what fun TCP/IP can be!

This is what gets seen if any of those three "images" are retrieved now. At least those stalkers won't have to worry about 404 errors! ;)

Oh well, that was the extent of this rant! I just hate people who snoop around for stuff when they could just.........ASK! It's not hard. Try it and see! ;)
